Sara Brown
Author and early childhood educator for nearly 30 years.
Sara Brown lives in scenic New York with her husband. Together they enjoy hiking, bird watching, puzzles and board games. However, on rainy days she loves to snuggle up with a good book to read. Sara treasures the moments spent with her three grown children and six grandchildren.
Sara's passion for teaching was ignited from a very young age. At age five she would teach a class of stuffed animals and toy dolls under the willow tree. These early experiences led to a fulfilling career inspiring real students.
Sara's dedication to teaching propelled her to pursue advanced education, earning a Masters of Science in Education degree in Reading from New York State University at Geneseo and a Graduate Certificate in Mind, Brain, and Teaching from Johns Hopkins University. Armed with this knowledge, she not only enriched her own teaching practice but also shared her expertise by leading professional development seminars for fellow educators. Her commitment to continuous learning and sharing her knowledge demonstrates her passion for empowering both students and colleagues alike.
Drawing inspiration from her experiences in the classroom, Sara aspires for her books to instill kindness and empathy in young children, encouraging them to practice these virtues in their daily lives.
